Privacy Policy
About this policy
Glowfolio helps adults keep editable makeup color recipes, compare two color versions on the same photo and remember their choices. This policy applies to the Glowfolio iPhone app. The service operator is referred to as Glowfolio. Last updated: 2026-11-07.
Your photos, recipes and voice notes
Photos you select or take, manual zone outlines, color settings, lighting labels, names, written notes, voice recordings and drafts are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone. We do not operate an account, content upload, cloud synchronization or content analysis service. We do not upload these materials to developer servers. Manual outlines are editing coordinates; the app does not recognize identity, create face embeddings, diagnose skin or score appearance.
Optional camera and microphone access
Camera access is requested when you choose Take Photo, to make a local photo for your recipe. Microphone access is requested when you choose Record Note, to attach a voice note to the selected version. You can decline either permission. Use a sample or choose a photo instead of the camera; write a note instead of recording. Recording is visible, limited to two minutes and does not automatically resume after an interruption or continue when the app moves into the background. You can change access in iOS Settings.
Selected photos and image processing
The system photo picker shares only the items you select; Glowfolio does not browse your entire photo library. Supported static images are normalized and reduced to an editing copy of at most 2048 pixels on the long side. Original system Photos items remain unchanged. Exported images are newly rendered PNG files and do not include the source photo’s location metadata.
Network requests and public policy pages
Core editing, built-in content, saving and export work offline. Opening Privacy Policy, Terms of Use or Support requests a public HTTPS page hosted by Cloudflare. The request may expose your IP address, request time, device/browser transport information and requested path to that hosting provider for delivery and security. These requests do not include your photos, audio, notes or recipe content. Local copies are available when public pages fail to load. Glowfolio does not include advertising, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. Cloudflare’s own handling is described in its privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
iOS services, backup and sharing
Apple’s permission dialogs, photo picker and share sheet are system services governed by Apple’s policies. Your iOS backup settings may include the app’s stored data. We do not promise that a system backup exists or can be restored. When you explicitly export or share, the destination you choose receives the selected readable copy under its own practices. Exported ZIP files are readable copies, not an in-app restore backup. We do not automatically send messages or create public links.
Retention, deletion and control
Personal records and valid drafts remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. You can edit names, colors and notes; remove one version’s audio; delete a look; or choose Delete All Personal Data in Settings. Deleting a version keeps media still referenced by the other version. Deleting all personal data removes personal recipes, drafts, local photo copies and audio; built-in content stays. This does not delete original system Photos items, iOS backups or copies you previously exported. Temporary exports can remain until the system or app removes them. Developer-side content retention is not applicable because we do not receive your content.
Privacy rights and contact
You control your local data through the app’s editing, export and deletion tools and iOS permissions. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, objection or complaint to a competent authority. We cannot retrieve local-only content from your device. For policy questions use glowfolio@support.com. This is a configured provisional contact address; a monitored support address must be verified before store release. Do not email sensitive photos or recordings.
Adults and international availability
The product is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information. Initial intended markets are the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland; actual availability is determined in the App Store. Hosting and system-service processing may take place in other countries under those providers’ policies.
Security and changes
The app uses private sandbox storage, iOS file protection and HTTPS for public pages. No storage or transmission method is guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and review export destinations. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the updated date and, where appropriate, an app update. This policy does not limit mandatory privacy rights.
